Dave Winder has another installment of the Runnin' with the Racers Podcast with Murray State Hall of Famer Leon Wurth. Playing for legendary coach Johnny Reagan in the early 1970s, Wurth returned to MSU as Coach Reagan's assistant for 11 seasons. Inducted into the Murray State Hall of Fame in 1992, Wurth's career as a player stands the test of time as does his career in Major League Baseball as an expert evaluator and scout. In is a this podcast that suddenly happened while Winder and Wurth were watching Murray State play at the newly renovated Johnny Reagan Field. On the weekly Diamond Recap of the Racer Report Podcast, Murray State Baseball and Softball are playing in and winning big games in the last week. Dave Winder visits with head coaches Dan Skirka and Kara Amundson to get the inside look at the MSU squads. After a big week, MSU Baseball swept Illinois State in front of a record crowd and head to SIU for a showdown in Carbondale. The Racer Softball team is in the hunt for a MVC Tournament spot after splitting four games with Indiana State and SIU in the final games of the season at Racer Field.
