BEFORE MSU: Two-year letterwinner for head coach Tom Minnick at Arizona Western College...helped the Matadors capture the 2009 Western States Football League championship...earned first-team Reagion I and all-WSFL honors as a sophomore...finished season with 27 tackles and two forced fumbles...returned an interception 79 yards in the fourth quarter to seal the victory in the WSFL championship game...also returned a blocked field goal 78 yards for a touchdown against Glendale.
