2011-12: As a senior, Poole was part of the record-breaking season that saw the Racers become the final undefeated team in the nation at 23-0 and rise to a top-10 national ranking ... Part of the 31-2 team in Coach Steve Prohm's rookie season ... MSU set an OVC and school record in going 31-2 ... MSU earned a No. 6 seed (best in program history) and defeated Colorado State in their first game before bowing out in a close game to No. 3 seed Marquette in Louisville, Ky. ... Was named to the All-OVC First Team and All District by the NABC ... Becoming a starter for the first time in his career, Poole went from averaging 5.0 points per game over 84 career games, to 14 points per game in 33 games as he became the perfect compliment to All-America selection Isaiah Canaan ... Had per-game averages of 31 minutes, 14 points, 3.6 rebounds and a 3-point percentage of .376 (68-181) and a free throw percentage of .858 (115-134) ... Had 26 games of double-digit scoring ... Had seven games of 20 or more points ... Top games included 20 points on 6-8 3-point shooting when the Racers took down ranked Memphis and season-high 28 points against Tennessee Tech ... Became the OVC Tournament MVP when he scored 25 points in the semifinals vs TTU and 14 points in the title game win over Tennessee State ... Made a game-changing play late in the win over TSU when he made a diving save of the ball from being turned over at mid-court and then hit a big 3-pointer ... 2010-11: Appeared in all 32 games in the season with one start against WKU (Dec. 18) … Scored 4.8 points per game on 51-of-124 shots for a .411 percentage … Was 22-of-65 from three-point range for .338 percent … Finished with 88 rebounds, 25 assists and 22 steals … Had five double-figure scoring games … Tied his career-high with 16 points against Tennessee State (Jan. 6) and had a career-high eight rebounds against Eastern Illinois (Feb. 7).
2009-10: Appeared in all 36 games for MSU and made one start against UMSL (Nov. 14) … Had a scoring average of 4.8 points per game and grabbed 2.0 rebounds per game … had 46 assists and 36 steals … Scored a career-high 16 points against Tennessee Wesleyan (Nov. 28) on 6-of-8 shots from the field … Came off the bench and scored 13 points against Tennessee Tech (Jan. 16) and was 6-of-6 from the free throw line … Had five rebounds against Eastern Illinois (March 5) ... Hit a three-point basket against Butler (Mar. 20) in the NCAA Tournament.
2008-09: Started the season with a plan to redshirt, but that all changed when teammate Jewuan Long went down for the season with a knee injury (Dec. 6) ... Made his MSU debut (Dec. 13) at Missouri in the eighth game ... He scored six points in 12 minutes of playing time in his debut ... Unfortunately, his season also ended suddenly when he suffered a broken collar bone in the seventh minute against Tennessee Tech (Feb. 12) ... He appeared in 16 games, averaged 5.8 points per game, and played an average of 15.5 minutes per game ... His season-high of 15 points came (Feb. 4) against Tennessee State.
Before MSU: He was a Nevada 4A First Team All-State selection in 2007 where his team from Mojave High School finished runner-up in the state tournament ... Averaged 21.6 points, seven rebounds, and four assists per game as a senior, his team finished the season 23-7... He was named the MVP of the Vegas Valley Tournament ... His team at Mojave was 49-13 in his last two seasons ... He attended Sound Doctrine Christian Academy in Lagrange, Ga. during the 2007-08 season leading his team to a 24-16 mark and a fourth place finish in the National Association of Christian Athletes Tournament ... Led the team in scoring with 25 points per game and added seven rebounds and five assists per game ... He had a 46-point performance against Charis Prep.
