2010-11: Appeared in all 32 games and made 11 starts in the final 12 games of the season … Had a scoring average of 5.4 points per game and grabbed 2.5 rebounds per game … Had three double-figure scoring games including a career-high 15 points against Southeast Missouri (Jan. 22) … Tied his career-high six rebounds against Bethel (Dec. 15) … Ended the season shooting .488 from the field on 61-of-125 shots from the field and was 44-of-59 from the free throw line for a percentage of .746 … Had 81 rebounds, 43 assists and 31 steals … Earned the MSU Hustle Award at season’s end.
2009-10: Made a comeback from off-season knee surgery and appeared in 30 games with a 3.2 points per game scoring average … Scored in 20 of the 30 games he appeared in and had a total of 97 points … Averaged 11.5 minutes per game off the MSU bench … Recorded 26 assists and 20 steals … Had a season-high nine points against Tennessee Wesleyan (Nov. 28) … Scored eight points in MSU wins over Tennessee Tech (Jan. 16) and Southeast Missouri (Feb. 16).
2008-09: His season ended suddenly only seven games into his sophomore season when he went down to a season-ending knee injury at Morehead State (Dec. 6) ... Before his injury, he scored 12 points (Nov. 22) against WKU to mark his season-high ... His six rebounds against Indiana State (Nov. 26) was also a career-high.
2007-08: Appeared 31 games with one start as a freshman ... Played a total of 458 minutes (14.8 minutes per game) and was a valued player off the bench for MSU ... Averaged 4.0 points per game and 1.6 rebounds per contest ... His 23 steals was tied for fourth-best on the squad ... Scored a career-high 11 points against Avila (Nov. 23) ... Played double-figure minutes in all but seven games in the season ... Played 20 or more minutes eight times including a career-high 27 minutes when he made his only start against Belmont (Dec. 30).
Before MSU: Helped lead Liberty Tech High School to the Tennessee Class 2A State Championship as a junior and senior ... Was named state tournament MVP in 2006 and first team all-state in his final two seasons ... In 2007 as a senior, Long was named Mister Basketball in the state and finished as Liberty’s all-time leading scorer with more than 1,500 points.
