2011: Made 27 appearances in 2011 for the Racers… Started six games in the outfield…Recorded a hit and an RBI against UT Martin…Went 1-2 at the plate, drawing a walk and driving in a run in an 8-0 win over Tennessee Tech
2010: Appeared in 33 games for the Racers…made seven starts in the outfield and at DP…drove in two runs with a single at Belmont…stole a base and scored a run as a pinch runner against SIU Edwardsvile…drove in a run as a pinch hitter against Tennessee Tech.
Before MSU: A three-time all-conference selection for Martinsville High School from 2005-2008…helped the Artesians earn two Indiana 4A State Championships (2005, 2006) and three Mid-State Conference, three sectional, and two regional championships…in her final season (2008), she was named to the all-district and all-area teams after finishing the season with a .480 batting average and a .990 fielding percentage…also participated in soccer for four years as a prep… earned the starting goalkeeper position as a freshman…owns the Martinsville school record for lowest goals against average (1.1)… helped the team to three Mid-State Conference Championships.
Personal: Born Alaina Corinne Zloty, Jan. 30, 1990 in Martinsville, Ind….daughter of Robert and Stacia Zloty…has three sisters, Brianna, Caitlin and Lynn and one brother, John…all three sisters played a collegiate sport, Lynn played softball at IUPUI, Brianna played softball at Lincoln Memorial and Caitlin played basketball at Aurora University…majoring in criminal justice.
