Before MSU
- Began her collegiate career at UT Martin where she earned OVC freshman of the year honors
- In her lone season with the Skyhawks, she averaged 15.2 points and 6.9 rebounds while shooting 54 percent from the field and ranked inside the top five of the OVC in scoring, rebounding, and blocked shots.
- Across the last two seasons, Currie-Jelks played in the Big 10 with Indiana, gaining valuable experience practicing and playing with one of the nation's premier programs
- Prepped at Jackson Southside High School
- While with the Hawks, Currie Jelks averaged 12.8 points, nine rebounds, two steals, and two blocks
- She was voted Team MVP and twice earned all-district and all-region honors
