2005: Earned first-team All-OVC honors after starting all 21 matches...Scored one goal and assisted three times.
2004: Laura played in 19 of MSU’s 20 games, including 15 starts...attempted 13 shots...her one assist came in the second overtime on the game-winner of the Racers’ come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Drake on Sept. 19.
2003: Played in 18 games, starting in 16...tied for seventh on the team with five points, including one goal and three assists...goal was MSU’s sole score against Eastern Illinois...had two assists in first career game, against Southwest Missouri State.
BEFORE MSU: Played four seasons of prep soccer...an all-state first-team selection as a senior...team’s most valuable player as a senior...all-district selection as a junior...also lettered in lacrosse.
PERSONAL: Born Laura Katherine Oppegard on Nov. 9, 1984, the daughter of Debra Schirm and Tony Oppegard...majoring in exercise science.
