2011-12: All-OVC Second Team selection at number two singles … finished 18-18 on the season … went .500 in both dual and tournament matches … 18-14 overall in doubles play … played at number two singles and number one doubles
2010-11: Earned All-OVC First Team honors...finished the season with a 5-3 record in singles and a 4-3 mark in doubles against other OVC teams....played No. 1 and No. 2 singles, going 11-12...was 11-10 at No. 2 singles...went 8-14 at No. 1 doubles with Cassidy Cunitz.
2009-10: Named to the All-OVC Second Team…played No. 2,3,4 and 5 singles for the Racers as a freshman…finished the season 11-8 and 7-2 in league action during the spring and 6-6 during the fall…went 3-3 in No. 1 doubles with Angela McGahee and 8-5 at No. 3 doubles with Alexis Webb during the spring season and 5-5- with Webb during the fall season…went 7-2 overall in doubles against OVC opponents…started the season at No. 3 doubles and moved to No. 1 doubles for the last six matches of the season.
Before MSU: Attended Hiram High School in Hiram, Ga....finished the 2008 season with a 21-2 record in the No. 1 singles position...finished 2nd in regionals...finished the 2007 season 19-3 in the No. 1 singles position....helped her team become regional champions...top-5 player in the state of Georgia in 18’s in 2007 and 2006...finished the 2006 season 19-0 in No. 1 singles while helping her team finish third in the regional tournament...three-time team captain and most valuable player during her high school career.
Personal: Born Ashley Nicole Canty, July. 29, 1991 in Montgomery, Ala....daughter of Alphonso and Cora Canty...has two sisters, Brittney (13) and Brianna (13)...majoring in accounting with a finance option.
