BEFORE MSU: Named all-tournament at the 2005 Junior Olympics American Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah...played four seasons at St. Edward High under coaches Jamie Walton (2004) and Marv Leavitt (2001-03)...helped the Green Wave to a combined 122-40 record (753) in her four seasons...in 2004, helped SEHS to a fourth-place finish in state with regional, sectional and super-sectional championships (34-9)...earned all-state third team, all-area first team and all-conference honors...named team MVP and honorary captain...finished 2004 with 305 kills, 290 digs and 39 aces, averaging 7 kills per game...in 2003, helped the Green Wave to a regional title and a sectional runner-up spot (29-11)...selected to all-state honorable mention, all-area first team and all-conference honors with 189 kills, 268 digs and 50 aces...in 2002, helped SEHS to regional and sectional titles (28-11)...earned all-area second team and all-conference honors with 185 kills, 292 digs and 50 aces...in 2001, helped the Green Wave to regional and sectional titles (31-9)...earned all-area honorable mention honors with 110 kills...played for Club Fusion for seven years, participating in nationals every year...the 17 Black team that she played on finished ninth in the country in the Open division last season...graduated from St. Edward with a grade-point average of 3.8...a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and Big Brothers/Big Sisters...had an opportunity to cruise the Mediterranean Sea in her senior year in high school (2005).
