First-year head coach Mick Cronin has yet to coach at game at Murray State, but Racer basketball fans are filled with anticipation for the 2003-2004 season. That is if the early season-ticket sales are any indication.
"We are getting great feedback from our fans and we expect to add a lot more season-ticket holders this season," said Racer director of athletics E.W. Dennison. "We added 100 new season tickets before we even released the season-ticket plan to our fans."
With 17 homes games (two more than last year) and a new three-payment plan as an option to fans, the season-ticket package offers an affordable price for everyone, according to Dennison.
"We're using the same package price per game as the last five years, but we've lowered the ticket price and raised the donation," said Dennison. "This gives fans an increase in their tax deduction, but it doesn't change the overall price from years past."
This season reserved center chair seats will be $378 per ticket, which includes a $225 donation and only $9 per ticket. That's $7 less than the window price on game nights. A reserved corner chair is available for $252.50 per seat with a $125 donation required. Reserved end zone seats are $152 apiece with a $50 donation required.
For the second year in a row MSU is offering a Family General Admission Plan, which includes two adults and two children for a price of $170 per game, which equals $2.50 per seat per game. Also available is a single general admission package for $85.
With the three-payment plan, fans can use their credit card to pay for their season tickets over a three-month period. For instance, a reserved chair in a center section will be just $129.34 per seat per payment, while a reserved chair in a corner section will be just $87.50 and a reserved end zone just $59.67 per payment."
Season ticket holders are also able to purchase reserved parking at $100.
Former season ticket holders will have parking again this season unless they contact the MSU athletic ticket office and specify that they do not wish to pay for reserved parking.
