The Murray State University Sports Network has joined forces with Teamline to provide all of the Racer and Lady Racer basketball radio broadcasts during the 2003-04 season free of charge on the Internet by logging onto www.GoRacers.com, the official website of MSU Athletics.
The broadcasts will include all 30 MSU men's basketball regular-season games and post-season games, as well as the Racers' final exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 15, against VASDA-USA. Once again, the "Voice of the Racers," Neal Bradley, will handle the play-by-play duties for all Racer basketball games, while Nathan Higdon, in his first season with the MSU Sports Network, will provide color.
"Having our games broadcast via the Internet exemplifies the class that our basketball program has," said first-year MSU men's basketball head coach Mick Cronin. "We want all Racer fans throughout the country to be able to listen to Neal Bradley describe the action."
The women's basketball broadcasts will begin on Jan. 8 with the Lady Racers' Ohio Valley Conference opener at Morehead State and will include all 16 conference games. Higdon will handle all of the play-by-play duties for the Lady Racer basketball games.
"I think it's great for Lady Racer basketball," said first-year MSU women's basketball head coach Joi Williams. "This is laying the foundation for our program and getting the support that we need. This will help our team in many areas: recruiting, fan support, attendance -- all areas of our program."
MSU is working with Teamline for the second straight year providing radio broadcasts of Racer sporting events through GoRacers.com, including all 12 MSU football games this season.
A complete broadcast schedule for MSU men's and women's basketball games in 2003-04 is available at www.GoRacers.com/multimedia.
