Racer Basketball Scrimmage Set For Monday, Nov. 10; Free To Public

The Murray State men's basketball team will hold its second public scrimmage of the season on Monday, Nov. 10 at 3:30 p.m. at the Regional Special Events Center. Admission is free and all Racer fans are invited.

First-year head coach Mick Cronin and the Racers opened their exhibition season this past Monday with a 73-71 win over the Global Sports All-Stars. Since their loss to MSU, Global Sports has beaten Southern Miss (79-60) and LSU (68-64) and plays at Purdue tonight.

The Racers will host Southern Miss on Nov. 29 at the Regional Special Events, while LSU is the favorite to win the SEC's Western Division in '03-'04 according to a poll of members of the media at SEC Media Day last week in Birmingham, Ala.

MSU will play its final exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 7:15 p.m. against VASDA-USA at the RSEC. The Racers' regular-season opener is set for Nov. 22 at home against Wagner in the first of four games for MSU as a part of the Pittsburgh Holiday Classic.
