Racers swept at Jacksonville State

The Murray State women's volleyball team was swept at Jacksonville State this afternoon 3-0 in Ohio Valley Conference action. Game scores were 30-21, 30-19, 30-25.
The Racer defense faltered, getting only 32 digs to JSU's 57.
Senior outside hitter Kimberly Bunnage led the offense for MSU (3-7, 0-4 OVC) with 12 kills, while sophomore outside hitter Allie Hunt had seven.
Senior outside hitter Danielle Sutterer had a team-high three blocks, while sophomore middle blocker Katie Kemezys had two. Senior libero Casandra Ersel had a team-high nine digs, while Hunt had seven, and freshman setter Ashley Meagher handed out a team-high 24 assists.
For Jacksonville State (13-2, 4-0 OVC), Suzi Terrell had a match-high 18 kills, while Shari Weyer had 14 and Abbey Breit had 10. Kisha West repelled a match-high 23 digs, while Breit had a match-high four blocks. Emily Withers had a match-high 36 assists, while Breit served up three aces.
Murray State returns home to take on OVC rival Tennessee State on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Racer Arena.
