After a 28-win season in 2003-04, the Murray State Racers enter the new season of 2004-05 with more excitement than ever, and the Lady Racers have a promising season ahead of them as well. That's why fans are urged to buy their single-game and season tickets as soon as possible.
This Friday, Oct. 29, is the deadline for season ticket holders to renew their seats for the '04-05 season.
"We've had a steady stream of fans coming in to renew their tickets," said interim ticket manager Jenny Moss, "and there are also a lot of new season ticket holders coming in, too."
There are season ticket packages for every taste. The Racers are again offering the family season ticket, in which two adults and two children can attend all 15 men's home games for only $150, which comes out to only $10 per game.
A general admission season ticket is $75, a reserved bleacher seat is $140, a corner chair season ticket is $237.50, and a center chair season ticket is $360. A donation to the RACER Foundation is included in the ticket price.
Single-game ticket prices are:
Reserved center chair: $16
Reserved corner chair: $12
Reserved endzone: $7
Adult general admission: $7
Child general admission (age 3 through 12th grade): $3
The Racers begin their season with an exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Regional Special Events Center when they host VASDA at 7:15 p.m. Before that, at 5:15 p.m., the Lady Racers open their season in an exhibition game against St. Louis Goldstar.
The Racers' regular-season opener is at home on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 7:15 p.m. against SIU-Edwardsville. Other highlighted home dates include a tilt against regional rival Western Kentucky on Dec. 4, and Murray State's Ohio Valley Conference opener on Jan. 6 at home against Morehead State.
The Lady Racers have several interesting home match-ups before they begin play in the OVC. Those include Northern Iowa on Nov. 23 and UNC Charlotte on Dec. 8.
