Chiles Dismissed From Team

Murray State Head Basketball Coach Mick Cronin has dismissed Adam Chiles from the men's basketball team for violation of team rules.

Cronin said, "I am disappointed beyond words. Adam obviously has some personal issues that he needs to deal with. It is my sincerest hope that he gets the necessary help that he needs."

Murray State President Dr. F. King Alexander said, "We are all in agreement that this type of inappropriate behavior by our student athletes will no longer be tolerated. This is further evidence of some of the cultural problems that we are working with the NCAA and other experts to expunge from university athletics programs. With reference to the individual student-athlete in question, he will not represent this university in any future competition."
