Murray State Basketball fans love their Racers and so far this season it's showing, as MSU has recorded four of the top-10 attended games this season.
Racers head coach Mick Cronin isn't surprised, "I've always said we have the most loyal and knowledgable fans, and they really help our team when they show up in big numbers."
After four home games, the Racers are averaging 4,438 per game.
The best crowd for a non-conference home game has historically been Southern Illinois or Western Kentucky and that has been true this season with a total of 6,612 that watched the Racers play the Hilltoppers on Dec. 12.
The Racers are back at home Wednesday Dec. 22 against Delaware State. The Racers defeated the Hornets last season in their first ever meeting 65-56 in Dover, Delaware. This is the final home game of the calendar year for the Racers. MSU begins play in the OVC Jan. 6 and 8 when they host Morehead State and Eastern Kentuky at the Regional Special Events Center.
