Victor Named OVC Player Of The Week For The Fourth Time In 2003-04

Murray State senior forward Cuthbert Victor was named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week for the fourth time this season after averaging 24 points and 16 rebounds in the Racers' OVC wins over Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State last week.
Victor, a 6-5 native of the Virgin Islands, shot a blistering 65.6 percent from the field in the two wins as MSU continues to sit alone in second place in the conference standings at the halfway point in the league schedule.
In the Racers' 90-76 win over Morehead State last Saturday, Victor had a game-high 26 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field and a game-high 17 rebounds. In MSU's 94-70 win over EKU last Thursday, Victor was 10-of-12 from the field for 22 points to go with 15 rebounds, six blocked shots and four steals.
Through last night's action, Victor ranks fourth nationally in rebounding at 11.0 caroms per game and is sixth in field goal percentage at 64.1 percent (125-of-195).
Up next, the Racers begin a five-game road stretch through the OVC against Eastern Illinois on Thursday at 7:35 p.m. in Charleston, Ill. MSU follows that up with a regionally televised (Fox Sports Net South) game against Southeast Missouri on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
