Racers shut out at Indiana, prepare for Austin Peay weekend quad-match

The Murray State men's tennis team faced its third straight powerhouse team of the season, coming away with a 7-0 loss at Indiana today. The Racers have also visited Louisville and Vanderbilt.
The closest match for Murray State (0-3) came at No. 3 doubles, where Craig Jacobs and Adam Maskill battled Neil Kenner and Ryan McCarthy to a 9-7 loss in the eight-game pro set.
Indiana (3-1) went on to win the doubles point 3-0, as Zakaria Bahri and Masimba Muskwe fell 8-0 at No. 1 doubles to Ryan Recht and John Stone and Jeff Lester and Chris Stone fell 8-2 at No. 2 doubles to Dmytro Ishtuganov and Jakub Praibis.
In singles play, Bahri lost at No. 1 singles to Praibis 6-1, 6-0, while Maskill fell at No. 2 singles to Recht 6-3, 6-4, and Muskwe lost at No. 3 singles to Kenner 6-1, 6-1.
Morgan fell at No. 4 singles to McCarthy 6-1, 6-2, while Lester lost at No. 5 singles to Stone 6-3, 6-1, and Clayton Clark fell at No. 6 singles to Tom Bagnato 6-2, 6-1.
Murray State now prepares for a quad-match at Clarksville, Tenn., this weekend, as the Racers take on host Austin Peay on Friday at 4 p.m., then face Alabama A&M on Saturday at noon and Vincennes on Saturday at 4 p.m.
