Lady Racers Compete At Prestigious Indiana Invitational

The Murray State women's track and field team continued its preparation for the Ohio Valley Conference Championships at the prestigious Indiana Invitational this weekend hosted by Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.
Leading the way for MSU at the two-day event, which was an unscored meet, was senior sprinter Joan Lettman of Toronto, Ontario, with a fifth-place finish in the finals of the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.36 seconds.
Other top-15 finishers for the Lady Racers were:
Jamie Nurnberger, ninth, weight throw, 52-11.00; LaShondra Durias, 11th, 60-meter dash, 7.85; Joan Lettman, 11th, 200-meter dash, 25.38; Shanah Zigler, 15th, pole vault, 9-06.25; Chanel Morgan, 12th, triple jump, 34-10.50.
Up next, the Lady Racers compete at the Southeast Invitational hosted by Southeast Missouri in Cape Girardeau, Mo., on Feb. 20 in their final event before the 2004 OVC Indoor Championships in Charleston, Ill. on Feb. 28-March 1.
