Track Wraps Up Weekend at Lee Fast Break and Arkansas Spring Invite

Racers Back in Action April 16 at Indiana State
The Murray State women's track and field team competed in a pair of meets at Lee University and the University of Arkansas this weekend.
Weekend HighlightsÂ
- Jocelyn Host's time of 36:41.43 in the 10K at Lee was the fourth-best in Murray State history.

Cheyenne Melvin won the 800-meter invitational at Arkansas with a time of 2:05.70, placing her first in the MVC.

Serena Blackwood now leads the MVC in the 100 meters after posting a time of 11.34. With this time, she will be competing in the East Region First Round Preliminaries in Lexington, Kentucky, at the end of May.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Alyssa Williams, Simone Joseph, Aniya Smith, and Serena Blackwood finished third at the Arkansas Spring Invite and now ranks first in the MVC with a time of 45.40.

The 4x400-meter relay also finished third at Arkansas with a time of 3:49.97 from the team of Breece Bass, Amahrie Harsh, Jordin Noah, and Cheyenne Melvin.

Brooke Probst finished fourth in the high jump at Arkansas with a mark of 1.70 meters.

Serena Blackwood finished fourth in the 200 meters after posting a time of 23.57.

Kinsey Huber finished fifth in the 100 meters at Lee with a time of 12.40.

Insiya Magee finished fifth in the 200 meters at Lee, posting a time of 25.49.

Freshman Kalliopi Rempelou placed fourth in the 400 meters at Lee with a time of 58.32.

Insiya Magee, Madelyn Muller, Presley Gallimore, and Kinsey Huber placed third in the 4x400-meter relay at Lee with a time of 4:01.85.

Abby Yanka, Morgan Noyes, Emily Wagner, and Skyler Libel placed fifth in the 4x100-meter relay at Lee after posting a time of 50.70.
