Lettman Wins Two Event Titles At TSU's Boston-Moon Classic

Senior sprinter Joan Lettman earned a pair of first-place finishes as the Murray State women's track and field team won four individual titles at this weekend's Boston-Moon Classic hosted by Tennessee State in Nashville.
Lettman, who qualified for the NCAA Regionals in the 400-meter dash with her performance last week, won both the 400- and 200-meter dash titles this week to lead the Lady Racers at the unscored meet. She finished with a time of 54.88 seconds in the 400 meters and a time of 25.10 in the 200 meters.
Freshman LaShondra Durias won the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.23 while also earning a second-place finish behind Lettman in the 200 meters with a time of 25.44.
Junior thrower Jamie Nurnberger also has a strong day as she earned an event title with a first-place toss of 159 feet in the hammer throw and a second-place finish in the discus with a toss of 133-11.
