Racers place sixth at OVC Championship after 4-1 loss to Samford in Nashville

The Murray State men's tennis team placed sixth at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship after falling to Samford 4-1 in the final round of the tournament, being held at the Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville, Tenn.
Murray State (5-16) lost the doubles point 2-0, then lost three of the four singles matches played.
Zakaria Bahri won at No. 1 singles over Manuel Miletic 6-4, 4-1, with the match retired in the second set.
Clayton Clark fell at No. 4 singles to Brad Weaver 6-0, 6-0, while Jeff Lester lost at No. 5 singles to Rob Nunnery 6-2, 6-4, and Chris Morgan fell at No. 6 singles to Johnny Griffee 6-1, 7-5.
In doubles play, Bahri and Masimba Muskwe fell at No. 1 doubles to Griffee and James Bryce 9-7 in the eight-game pro set, while Morgan and Adam Maskill lost at No. 3 doubles to Nunnery and Stuart Misner 8-4.
Murray State was the No. 6 seed in the tournament with a regular-season OVC record of 3-4.
