Racers fall 6-1 at Morehead State

The Murray State men's team took a tough 6-1 loss at Ohio Valley Conference rival Morehead State this afternoon.
The sole win for Murray State came at No. 2 singles, where Masimba Muskwe beat Kim Kachel 6-4, 6-4.
Zakaria Bahri fell at No. 1 singles to Greg Johnstone 6-7, 6-3, 6-4, while Adam Maskill lost at No. 3 singles to Jacob McLeod 7-5, 7-5. Clayton Clark fell at No. 4 singles to Daniel Arbib 6-2, 6-1, while Jeff Lester lost at No. 5 singles to Louis Orieux 7-5, 6-4, and Chris Morgan fell at No. 6 singles to Damian Storti 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
In doubles play, bahri and Muskwe fell at No. 1 doubles to Johnstone and Storti 8-6 in the eight-game pro set, while Lester and Morgan lost at No. 2 doubles to Arbib and Kachel 8-6, and Maskill and Craig Jacobs fell at No. 3 doubles to McLeod and Orieux 8-4. Morehead State won the doubles point 3-0.
Murray State returns home to face OVC rival Tennessee-Martin on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Purcell Tennis Courts.
