Racers fall to Oregon State 3-1

Junior outside hitter Kimblery Bunnage slammed a match-high 19 kills, but Oregon State outhit the Racers 70-67 en route to the 3-1 win at the IU Invitational in Bloomington, Ind. Game scores were 30-22, 30-27, 18-30, 30-25.
Junior outside hitter Paige Sun popped 15 kills and had an attack percentage of .324, while sophomore middle blocker had 14 kills with a .462 percentage.
Sophomore outside hitter Julie Lashley served up a co-match-high three aces, while sophomore outside hitter Holly Jansen rejected a team-high two blocks.
Sun repelled a match-high 21 digs, while Bunnage added 11 and senior libero Casandra Ersel had 10. Junior setter Nikki Wang handed out a match-high 50 assists.
For Oregon State (1-1), Karah Rhoades had a team-high 17 kills and a .429 attack percentage, while Amanda Eggert had 13 kills and a .407 percentage. Allison Lawrence added 12 kills, while Abby Windell had 10.
Nina Baltimore served up three aces. Brittany Cohoon had a match-high four blocks, while Rhoades and Eggert had three blocks each.
Lawrence had a team-high 12 digs, while Baltimore had 11 and Rhoades had 10.
Murray State will close out its tournament play this afternoon with a 4:30 p.m. match against Saint Louis.
