Issian Redding named OVC Player of the Week

Redding, from Sandusky, Ohio, started the week with a career-high 25 points against the Colonels last Thursday night. It was his second straight game in which he had recorded a career high.
In the game against EKU, Redding was 9-for-12 from the field and he also hit a career-high six three-pointers. The Racers defeated the Colonels 80-51.
Redding followed that game with a double-double against Morehead State Saturday with 10 points and 10 rebounds. It was his first double-double as a Racer.
For the week, Redding averaged 17.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game and was 13-for-23 from the field for a .565 shooting percentage.
Redding is ranked in the top 10 in conference play in scoring, rebounding, three-point percentage and field-goal percentage.
The Racers have the week off for final exams, and play Monday, Dec. 19, at Jacksonville State.
