"This was a good starting point," said MSU head coach Dereck Chivas of his first meet as a Murray State coach. "This was an opportunity for our kids to compete. Our kids were anxious to get out and compete.
"Off the field, it was a chance to get in some team bonding. We had the opportunity to travel together and get to know each other and support our team. We have good talent on our team, and I'm looking forward to seeing this program gear up for the OVC Indoor Championships."
Murray State next competes on Feb. 4-5 at the SIU McDonald's Invitational.
