Racers fall at Kentucky

The Murray State men's tennis team fell to host Kentucky this afternoon 7-0 in Lexington, Ky. MSU returns to Ohio Valley Conference action tomorrow (Wednesday) at Eastern Kentucky.

Against Kentucky, Fadi Zamjaoui fell at No. 1 singles to Nate Emge 7-5, 6-0, while Chris Morgan lost at No. 2 singles to Matt Emery 6-1, 6-1, and Yuri Pompeu fell at No. 3 singles to Nolan Polley 6-3, 6-1. Jeff Lester lost at No. 4 singles to Marcus Sundh 6-4, 6-4, while Hunter Gerlach fell at No. 5 singles to Carey Rubin 6-1, 6-2, and Craig Jacobs lost at No. 6 singles to Matt Allinder 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles play, Gerlach and Zamjaoui fell at No. 1 doubles to Polley and Alex Hume 8-3 in the eight-game pro set, while Morgan and Pompeu lost at No. 2 doubles to Sundh and Tigran Martirosyan 8-4, and Clark and Lester fell at No. 3 doubles to Allinder and Rubin 8-6.
