Racers fall 5-2 at Eastern Kentucky

The Murray State men's tennis team took a 5-2 loss at Ohio Valley Conference rival Eastern Kentucky yesterday. The Racers will next compete on April 6 at Tennessee-Martin.
In singles play, Jeff Lester won at No. 4 singles over Nic Brenner 6-3, 6-3, while Hunter Gerlach won at No. 6 singles over Mario Simic 6-3, 6-4. Fadi Zamjaoui lost at No. 1 singles to Tom Wospil 6-3, 6-7, 6-4, while Chris Morgan fell at No. 2 singles to Lars Gratzki 6-2, 6-1, Yuri Pompeu lost at No. 3 singles to Chase Armstrong 6-2, 6-3., and Clayton Clark fell at No. 5 singles to Frederico Goncavves 6-2, 6-3.
In doubles play, Clark and Lester won at No. 3 doubles over Brenner and Goncalves 8-3 in the eight-game pro set. Morgan and Pompeu fell at No. 1 doubles to Armstrong and Wospil 8-5, while Gerlach and Zamjaoui lost at No. 2 doubles to Gratzki and Simic.
