Lady Racers compete at APSU Invite

The Murray State women's track team competed at the APSU Invitational on Saturday in Clarksville, Tenn., and did well in the unscored event.
The Lady Racers dominated the field events, as Dominique Robinson won the shot put with a throw of 42 feet, 7 inches (12.98), while Jamie Nurnberger won the discus throw with a hurl of 134 feet 10.5 inches (41.11 meters).
Also in the discus throw, Robinson placed second with a throw of 120 feet, 1.3 inches (36.61 meters), while Laura Schroeder placed third with a throw of 111 feet, 6.5 inches (34.0 meters).
In the shot put, Nurnberger placed second with a toss of 39 feet, 4 inches (11.99 meters).

Lauren Wilson, 800-meter dash, second, 2 minutes, 19.09 seconds.
Lindsey Neely, 5,000-meter run, third, 20 minutes, 17.87 seconds.
Megan Rainville, 5,000-meter run, fifth, 21 minutes, 0.5 seconds.
Laura Schroeder, javelin, seventh, 95 feet, 9.6 inches (29.2 meters).
Tiffany Cowan, 800-meter dash, 12th, 2 minutes, 38.81 seconds.
Murray State will next compete at the Vanderbilt Invitational on April 22-23 in Nashville, Tenn.
