A.J. Adams leaves Murray State Basketball

A.J. Adams, who last season was part of the Murray State basketball program as a walk-on has decided to pursue his career at Lambuth College in Jackson, Tenn.
Adams, a 6-4 guard from Mayfield accepted a full scholarship at Lambuth.
Racers head coach Mick Cronin understands. "We wish A.J. the best." Cronin said.
"I thank him for giving me everthing he had in what was a tough season, injury wise for him." Cronin added, "I fully understand his desire to play and get a full scholarship. A.J. loves our community and this was a tough decision for him to make, but ultimately it was something he needed to do for himself and we support him and wish him well."
Adams, appeared in eight games last season for the Racers as a freshman, averaging five minutes per game.
Adams came to Murray State after a stellar career at Graves County High School. Adams helped lead the Eagles to three district titles and was named all-district three times.
