Schroeder competes at NCAA Regional in javelin

Murray State freshman Laura Schroeder competed at the NCAA Regional after qualifying as the Ohio Valley Conference champion in women's javelin.
Schroeder, a native of Evansville, Ind., finished 22nd at the Regional on Saturday with a throw of 105 feet, 6 inches (32.15 meters) at the NCAA MidEast Regional held in Bloomington, Ind.
Schroeder won the OVC women's javelin title in Clarksville, Tenn., on May 6 with a throw of 126 feet, 10.8 inches (38.68 meters).
