Racer Fan Jam To Be Held Oct. 28

The Fan Jam event finds the level of anticipation very high as new Murray State Men's Head Coach Billy Kennedy and Women's Head Coach Joi Felton (In her fourth season) get their teams ready for the 2006-07 season.
The Lady Racers were picked third in the Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Poll and senior Joi Scott was named the league's Preseason Player of the Year.
“The Lady racers are very excited about fan jam,” Felton said. “I can't think of a better way to kick off the 2006-07 season.
The Racers were picked fourth in the OVC poll and Shawn Witherspoon is the OVC's Preseason Player of the Year. The Racers also have 10 new faces on the roster.
“Our team is looking forward to meeting the fans of MSU Basketball for the first time,” Kennedy said. “Racer Arena is a great facility, and this is a great way to kick off the season for our new team.”
Admission is free and all in attendance will see both squads scrimmage and there will be several chances for fans to interact with the MSU players and coaches. There will be free giveaways and an autograph session will also be held.
Racer Fan Jam will be finished in time for all fans to attend the MSU Soccer match with Oklahoma State which begins at 11 a.m. at Cutchin Field. The Racers football game against Southeast Missouri will begin at
The Lady Racers and Racers both have exhibition games scheduled for Nov. 4 at the RSEC. The Lady Racers host Christian Brothers at 5:15 p.m. and the Racers take on York University at 7:30 p.m.
