Racer Tennis Picks Up First Win Of 2006, Beats Southern Indiana

Murray State swept all three doubles matches. Fadi Zamjaoui (Casablanca, Morocco) teamed with Dmytro Hryhorash (Lviv, Ukraine) to beat USI's Ryan Hughes and Bodene Scott 8-5 at number one doubles. Nicholas Ksiezopolski (Toronto, Ontario) and Yuri Pompeu (Sovacaba, Brazil) beat the duo of Ryan McDaniel and Bryan Sulcer by a score of 8-3.
In singles play, the Racers earned four, straight-set, victories at number one, two, five and six singles.
It took a third set for Ksiezopolski to down Andrew McGuire, 7-5, 3-6 and 1-0 (10-4), at number three singles. Hunter Gerlach (Louisville, Ky.) was edged by Nathan Moore, 7-6, 3-6 and 1-0 (10-0), at number four singles.
The Racers will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Bloomington, Ind., to face the University of Indiana. The match is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
