Racer Tennis Falls To #60 Indiana

Indiana won all three doubles matches to earn the first point of the match. Peter Antons and David Bubenicek downed Hunter Gerlach (Louisville, Ky.) and Jeff Lester (Harrodsburg, Ky.) of Murray State, 8-0, at number two doubles.
MSU's Fadi Zamjaoui (Casablanca, Morocco) and Dmytro Hryhorash (Lviv, Ukraine) gave Dara McLoughlin and Dmytro Ishtuganov a battle at number one doubles but the IU squad prevailed with an 8-6 victory.
The Hoosiers opened singles play by winning at number three and number six singles. When McCarthy defeated Gerlach, 6-1 and 6-4, at number four singles, IU clinched the match win.
Hryhorash took the first set from McLoughlin at number two singles by a score of 7-6. McLoughlin however came back to win the next set 6-2 and edged Hryhorash in the decisive third set 7-6 to complete the IU sweep.
The Racers will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Chattanooga, Tenn., to face the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
