Racer Men's Tennis Beats Morehead State To Even OVC Record

Murray State University's men's tennis team evened its Ohio Valley Conference record at 1-1 with a 5-2 win over Morehead State University today in Morehead, Ky. A day after winning all three doubles matches and losing to Eastern Kentucky University, the Racers lost all three doubles matches against the Eagles but came back to grab the win.
MSU improves to 2-5 overall while Morehead State drops to 3-7 on the season and 0-3 in the OVC.
After losing the three doubles matches, the Racers won five of six singles matches, four in straight sets. Fadi Zamjaoui defeated Jacob McLeod at number one doubles, 6-3 and 6-3. Dmytro Hryhorash lost just two games in dispatching Pete Taylor 6-1 and 6-1. Jeff Lester claimed his third straight singles win after beating Damian Storti at number five singles, 7-6 and 6-3.
The Racers will return to action on Mar. 17 when they travel to face Memphis at 2 p.m.
