Murray State University's women's tennis team fell to the University of Central Florida, 6-1, today in Orlando, Fla. The Racers lone point came at number two singles by Rachael Lask. MSU drops to 4-7 on the season while the Golden Knights improve to 8-6.

UCF secured the doubles point by quickly winning the number three and number two doubles matches. Kenza Belbacha and Anna Yakimchenkova made quick work of Murray State's Adriana Alvarez and Tami McQueen at number three doubles, winning by a score of 8-2.

Kyla McNicol and Megan Hunter clinched the doubles point with an 8-5 win over Anne Pennington and Casady Pruitt. Anna Lask and Rachael Lask gave Pamela Fernandez and Elvira Serrot all they could handle at number one doubles before falling 8-7.

When singles play began, Central Florida's Becky Gordon lost just one game on her way to a 6-0 and 6-1 win over McQueen at number six singles. Hunter lost just two games in beating Alvarez, 6-0 and 6-2, at number five singles for a 3-0 UCF lead.

Belbacha clinched the match for Central Florida with a win at number three singles over Pennington, 6-4 and 6-1.

The Racers effort in the final three matches was still strong despite Central Florida having already sealed the victory. Rachael Lask defeated Serrot at number two singles by a score of 6-4 and 6-4 for the only Murray State point of the day.

Anna Lask and Pruitt each lost their singles match in three sets.

The Racers will return to action on Saturday when they finish off their spring break trip with a match against Mercer University in Macon, Ga., at 10:00 a.m.
