MSU's Dunker Performs In Fantasy Mascot Madness

For years,
During the NCAA basketball tournament, The RedEye, a Chicago Tribune publication created a tournament bracket called Mascot Madness. The idea was to have the mascots square off in make-believe one on one basketball games.
According to the writers at RedEye, Dunker defeated the
Dunker then defeated George Mason's mascot and moved into the sweet 16.
Then Dunker managed to get past
Dunker's opponent for the right to go to the Mascot Final Four was Air Force's mascot Joe Falcon. The game commentary read, “Dunker holds the edge in every category across the board. How sweet. Dunker wins 21-3.”
Joining Dunker in the Final Four was
Dunker and the Gael of Iona faced off. The RedEye said “Dunker takes the ball to the rim with ease while the Gael keeps climbing onto the horse's back while slapping him in the rear with a riding crop.” Dunker advanced to the final with a hard fought win.
