Men's Tennis Falls At Tennessee Tech

Murray State University's men's tennis team lost to the Tennessee Tech University, 6-1, today Cookeville, Tenn. The Golden Eagles improve to 11-11 overall and 6-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Racers drop to 5-11 and 3-5 in league matches.
The lone point for Murray State came from the racket of Fadi Zamjaoui, this week's Ohio Valley Conference men's tennis Athlete of the Week. Zamjaoui beat Shunsuke Shimizu at number one singles in straight sets, 6-4 and 7-5. The win was Zamjaoui's 10th straight singles victory.
Dmytro Hryhorash fought hard to force a third set at number two singles, but the junior's own 10-match winning streak was ended by Borja Zarco, 6-2 and 7-5.
The Racers will conclude the regular season portion of their 2006 schedule on Monday when they travel to Clarksville, Tenn., to face Austin Peay at 2:30 p.m.
