Zamjaoui and Hryhorash kept the Racers from being swept in doubles play with a 9-7 win at number one doubles over Scott Robertson and Christian Rybertt. The
The Gamecocks jumped out to a 3-0 lead when singles play began with wins at number four and number three singles. Vaccarin took down Gerlach in straight sets, 6-2 and 6-3, at number four singles. Rybertt edged Pompeu 7-6 in the first set and then won the second by a score of 6-2 at number three singles.
Hryhorash and Zamjaoui cut the deficit to 3-2 with wins at number two and one singles respectively. Hryhorash beat Bachino 6-4 and 6-2 right before Zamjaoui finished off Robertson 7-6 and 6-2.
The Racers will conclude the home portion of their 2006 schedule on Tuesday when they host the University of Tennessee-Martin at the Bennie Purcell Tennis Courts at
