Racer Track & Field Competes at SIU Booster Invitational

The Murray State Track & Field squad got into its first competition of the 2007 season Saturday when they competed at the Southern Illinois Booster Invitational in
The Racers best finish was turned in by Dominque Robinson who placed third in the weight throw with a toss of 54 feet-1.25 inches.
In the pole vault, Alicia Tempel turned in a fourth place finish with an effort of 10 feet.
Chelsea Hosey and Maggie McKay each placed ninth in the high jump with a leap of five feet-one inch.
Alania Zanin also place ninth in the 3000 meter run with a time of 11:03.
Felicia Hargis and Lindi Berry each finished 10th in the shot put with tosses of 37 feet-10.75 inches.
The Racers 4 X 400 relay team of Kassandra Sutzer, Chelsea Hosey, Sydney Gholston and Brittany Davies finished ninth with a time of 4:13.
The meet was not scored for team results.
The Racers next meet is back at SIU Feb. 2-3 for the McDonald's Invitational.
