
Rifle Falls To Jacksonville State

The Murray State rifle team hosted defending Ohio Valley Conference champion Jacksonville State in a shoulder-to-shoulder (dual) match on Oct. 21, falling 4614-4570. The Racers travel to Tennessee Tech for a shoulder-to-shoulder match on Sunday at 8 a.m.
Against JSU, Kevin Witbrodt fired a 585 out of a possible 600 in air rifle and a 579 out of a possible 600 in smallbore for an aggregate (combined) score of 1164. Cameron Hicks shot a 581 in air rifle and a 561 in smallbore for an aggregate of 1142, while Kasey Meyer fired a 561 in air rifle and a 563 in smallbore for an aggregate of 1124. Harley Jette shot a 569 in air rifle, while Dan Belluzzo fired a 571 in smallbore to complete MSU's scoring.
For Jacksonville State, Mike Dickinson shot a 590 in air rifle and a 583 in smallbore for an aggregate of 1173, while Jonathan Hall fired a 584 in air rifle and a 573 in smallbore for an aggregate of 1157, and Phil Huckaby shot a 582 in air rifle and a 565 in smallbore for an aggregate of 1147. Matt MacKenzie shot a 577 in air rifle, while Josh Grantham fired a 560 in smallbore to complete JSU's scoring.
