Women's Tennis Evens Record With 5-2 Win Over Southern Illinois

Murray State's women's tennis team earned the doubles point and then claimed victories is four of six singles matches for a 5-2 win over Southern Illinois University tonight at the Paul Rowton Tennis Center in Paducah, Ky. The Racers improve to 3-3 on the season while the Salukis drop to 3-2.
Anna and Rachael Lask defeated Ame Blacketer and Sabine Tsala Mvilongo, 8-2, at No. 1 doubles. A pair of freshmen, Lynsey Bochenek and
SIU's Michela Cruise and Martina Vianna Ce defeated Lyndsay Ottosen and Casady Pruitt, 8-4, at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play,
Pruitt dropped the first set 6-1 at No. 3 singles to Agata Skorupska, but the senior stormed back and lost just one game the rest of the way to earn a 1-6, 6-1 and 6-0 victory for her team.
Ottosen, a freshman, beat Vianna Ce, 6-4 and 6-3, at No. 6 singles.
