Tarod Sanders Signs With Racer Basketball

Sanders (6-6, 250) was a big reason Coffeyville went 33-5 in the 2006-07 season and advanced to the National Junior College Championship last March where they finished third place for head coach Jay Herkelman.
“Tarod is a big strong power forward and he's been a part of a lot of wins here,” said Herkelman, whose teams have won 66 games in the last two seasons. “He came up big in the Region-6 championship game against

MSU coach Billy Kennedy is glad to get a player that comes from a winning program.
“Tarod comes from a great program and he's been a part of a lot of wins,” Kennedy said. “He's got good size, has physicality plus an ability to score around the basket; he'll help our team right away.”
“He's a great kid,” Herkelman said. “We had him in our program for three years and people in this community get to know our players and they love him, he's just a great young man.”
“I told Billy how good a team guy Tarod is,” Herkelman added. “He sets screens, rebounds, passes, and he does the things that help the team win, he's very unselfish.”
