Calhoun Named Pepsi/MSU Athlete of the Week

Murray State lefthander Daniel Calhoun is the Pepsi/MSU Athlete of the Week.

Calhoun was the winner on the mound Saturday when he pitched MSU Baseball to a 5-3 win over Eastern Illinois at Reagan Field.

Calhoun evened his record this season at 2-2 after he threw seven innings and gave only three runs, two of which were earned. He scattered eight hits, struck out two and walked two.

He has a 3.26 ERA this season in 47 innings pitched. During those innings, Calhoun has struck out 40 and walked only eight.

The ?Breds travel to Richmond this weekend to face Eastern Kentucky in a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series.
