Men's Tennis Falls To Jacksonville State

Seniors Hunter Gerlach and Chris Horton picked up a doubles victory at No.1 for the Murray State men's tennis team today, but it wasn't enough as the Racers fell 7-0 to Jacksonville State at Purcell Courts today.
The Gerlach-Horton tandem defeated JSU's Chris Duke and Joey Unkenholz, 8-7 on a tiebreaker, but Jacksonville State took the next two doubles matches (Eduardo Saratt and Scott Robertson defeated NIck Ksiezopolski and Yuri Pompeu at No. 2, 8-4; Andres Amores and Steffen Solomon defeated Mason Johnson and Jadir Semensin at No. 3, 8-2), and the doubles point for the match.
In singles action, Saratt defeated Pompeu, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1, while Robertson bested Horton at No. 3, 6-3, 6-1. Unkenholz took down Ksiezopolski, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4, while Gerlach lost a tiebreaker to Duke, 6-7, 6-4, and 10-3 at No. 2. Amores defeated Johnson 6-1, 6-2, at No. 6, and Solomon bested Semensin, 6-0, 6-4 at No. 5.
The men return to the court tomorrow at 9 a.m. against Samford at Purcell Courts.
