Murray State Basketball Signs 6-3 Guard Donte Poole

Murray State Basketball Head Coach Billy Kennedy announced the signing of 6-3 guard Donte Poole.
“We feel very fortunate to get a big guard who can score like Donte,” MSU Head Coach Billy Kennedy said. “His ability to shoot the 3 and knack for scoring will help replace what we lost from Ray George and Bruce Carter.”

“I've known Donte since he was in the 8th grade, and he's a tremendous person in regards to being a consummate student-athlete,”
Poole attended Sound Doctrine Christian Academy in Lagrange, Ga. during the 2007-08 season leading his team to a 24-16 mark and a fourth place finish in the National Association of Christian Athletes Tournament. He led the team in scoring with 25 points per game and added seven rebounds and five assists per game.
He had a 46-point performance against Charis Prep.
“Donte is a great kid,” Sound Doctrine Coach Vacher Hammett. “He was a joy to coach.”
