The Murray State men's tennis team continued its tough non-conference schedule as the Racers fell 6-0 to #36 Kentucky at the Boone Tennis Complex in Lexington.
The Racers (0-2) got another strong performance from Jadir Semensin at No. 6 singles. The sophomore jumped out early to take the first set 6-2 over Chris Leeper. Leeper responded by taking the second set 6-4. With the match already decided, the two played a pro set to decide the winner of the match and Leeper prevailed 10-7.
Newcomer Renaldo Domoney improved his play in his match at No. 2 as he overcame a 6-2 loss in the first set to push Will Beck to the limits in the second set before falling 7-5.
The two teams did not play doubles.
The Racers return to the courts on Jan. 31 as they travel to Memphis for a pair of matches. MSU will take on Southeastern Louisiana at 10 a.m. before taking on Memphis at 3 p.m.
