Be Bold - Wear Gold - Racers On ESPNU

Saturday is "Be Bold Wear Gold" day at the Regional Special Events Center when the Racers play host to the Austin Peay Govs in a men's/women's doubleheader.
All fans are encouraged to paint the RSEC by wearing gold.
The day will begin with the MSU men's team hosting APSU at 2 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU to a national television audience.
The second game between the women's teams begins at 4:30 p.m.
Fans will enjoy several opportunities during the day to watch and participate in on-the-court activities including the Hampster Ball Race.
Prizes for lucky fans include tickets to the OVC Tournament and OVC apparel.
The game also marks Murray Bank Day at Racer Basketball.
MSU basketball greats Herb McPherson and Shawn Witherspoon will also be in attendance at the game. McPherson was a member of the first Racer NCAA Tournament team in 1964, and Witherspoon was part of MSU's NCAA teams in 2004 and 2006. Both are members of the MSU 1,000-Point Club.
Basketball shooting specialist Dr. Lee Walden will entertain at half of the men's game. Dr. Walden is perhaps the best three-point shooter in the world averaging over 90 percent from beyond the arc. Fans will be amazed at his shooting ability.
