Ivan Aska Earns Pepsi Athlete Of The Week Award

Murray State Basketball student-athlete Ivan Aska has been named the Pepsi Athlete of the Week for the period of Nov. 9-15.
Aska, a sophomore from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., turned in two big performances on the hardwood in games against California and UMSL.
He started with 17 points and two rebounds against the No. 12 Bears in the season opener and scored 20 points and pulled down five rebounds in the Racers' home opener with UMSL.
In the two games, Aska was a combined 14-of-17 from the field for an amazing 82 percent.
Aska's 9-of-9 game from the field against UMSL was the best for a Racer since Cuthbert Victor's 11-of-11 game against Tennessee State in 2001.
