Murray State's B.J. Jenkins earned his second OVC Newcomer of the Week honor of the season in voting conducted by the league's sports information directors.

Jenkins scored a team-best 16 points in the Racers loss at Western Kentucky Dec. 22.

The junior from Virginia Beach, Va., hit on 6-of-10 shots, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range. He also pulled down a rebound, dished out four assists and had three steals.

Jenkins was also named the OVC newcomer Nov. 16.

Through 12 games, Jenkins is tops on the team with 3.8 assists per game and second with 11.3 points per game.

The Racers play in Edwardsville, Ill., Wednesday at 7 p.m. against SIUE.

The game will be carried live on the Racer TV Network and can been seen by customers of NewWave Communications, Comcast and Mediacom.
